    Hi

I need a digger to remove 600 mm of road plantings and soil from 27 square metres .
Under half of this area is steel sheeting, quite firmly bolted together, and topped with 100mm of hard concrete. There is also a wall with steel in between the courses that will need to be removed.

We we considering clearing the top if the steel with a mini digger, then mango the concrete and cut the steel, before getting the digger back to remove the rest, but what sort of machine would be needed to handle the steel in one day?

The job is in Hemel if anyone interested.

    Thanks

    Hi Mike
What thickness is the steel and the wall - the steel is between the courses (level/horizontal) or the skins - inner / outer (vertical) in the wall? what's the wall? Brick, block or cast concrete? The steel in it is rebar, flat strips or sheet/plate?
If it's got tracks, wheels, t*ts, or an engine, at some point it's gonna give you trouble!!

As the Druid requests some more info and a pix or two would help...............
