    Job Description


    The company's success is founded on its reputation for being a great employer and specifically having ambitious growth plans across the UK. They are looking to grow their organisation by hiring a qualified and established Head of Sales for their Construction Division.
    As a Head of Sales, you will have responsibility for developing and driving the growth plans across the UK, as well as mentoring and developing the existing sales team. This opportunity is about ensuring strong and sustainable customer relationships, optimising account activity and developing a high level of service - you will be leading from the front in terms of sales activity and people development.

    The Successful Applicant


    Critical to the success of this Head of Sales Role, will be previous experience within the Construction Industry, preferably from an adhesive or flooring background, with demonstrable wins within large key accounts UK Wide, and a results-driven track record of developing and managing multiple stakeholders.
    You must have demonstrable track record of success, will have strong negotiation skills, and a customer-focused approach with in-depth knowledge of distribution and end-user construction sales. Experience in Construction Adhesives is not essential as candidates with strong commercial acumen and/or Technical practices will positively impact this role.

    You will also be:
    • Proven track record in managing large, key accounts
    • A real sales focused business leader
    • Have strong managerial skills - at least 3 years in a managerial capacity
    • Experienced in improving sales performance and implementing change
    • Demonstrable ability in analysing business performance, implementing key account growth and developing new business
    • Focused on sales development, adding value and consistently high service levels
    • Adept at managing complex negotiations associated with multi-channel & multi-site
    • Adept at influencing internal and external decision makers at all levels, including Board
    • Using innovative techniques to take new ideas to market
