  • Finding Specs on a machine

Almost decided on getting a Volvo EC18C. Ive found it, it looks ok, seems tight enough but one thing I cant find out is its lifting capacity over distance. I can find this info out on most machines but not on this one.

Does anyone have an idea where I might find it?

Most brochures (old school I know ) have a lifting chart at the back .. but you may have to contact Volvo.. the online one certainly has no lifting data .. they'll have someone who will be able to help, regardless of the age of the machine

Please don't PM me for plant advice.. thanks .. Post in the forum where I will gladly help, as will many of our contributors.. as the info and responses will help everyone else, which is why we exist

'tain't gonna be a lot for sure
am surprised you can't turn it up on the 'net
If it's got tracks, wheels, t*ts, or an engine, at some point it's gonna give you trouble!!

Well the guys at SMT were superb... I got a spec sheet for lifting limits and as a bonus an operator manual all on PDF.

The sheet covers EC15C, EC17C, EC18C and EC20C and ive uploaded it here in case anyone else searches for it but its a shame I cant do it with the Operators Manual but its too big at 17mb

could try putting the op manual on remanual .... I've stuck a few on there and Josh who runs it is always grateful
Ianoz put me onto him a while ago
