  • Jcb 801.4 Hydraulic oil filter

I am just wondering if I have a part missing on my machine, I opened the hydraulic oil tank cap to top up oil and the spring under the cap sits directly onto the top of the filter and appears to be too short to engage with the underside of the cap so is just laying across the top of the filter, I thought perhaps there should be something for the spring to sit on? also the oil is barely covering the top of the filter even though the site gauge shows it as full

    any ideas please
    thanks
