Fourty hrs is the normal week. Then overtime if we get a good storm. One of the other perks is I'll have the oppertunity to go climbing and learn the basics to being a linesman on the job :D

Will make a serious change lets put it that way.

Still S***ing myself from this morning. Everything feels diffrent with a pole slung up on top, and it's even scaryer when your picking up and placeing them like there matchsticks (Big bloody banksman squishing matchsticks) that said I love it (Gonna take a few days to get back into the X's...) Can't wait till next sat when I have a go again. then the monday I start work properly....

Hi Rory , Sorry mate , no idea how i missed your post from last week .

Come Monday morning ,i am sure you will be up to the job .
So how are the holes dug . are they bored or do you dig them with the hoe ?
We don't do a lot of it these days , as most power is underground .

Have to dig them with the Hoe, We do carry augers on the Hiab and 1.5 tonner, but the ground here rarely helps them.

Todays job, Put in a new pole, then follow our plant lorry and track a digger into a layby

Time for another Update. Which I suppose I should of done a while ago.

I'm not going to bother posting pictures, Yea of course I will.

                          Van Is Finally organised :P

For the next two weeks to Xmas I'm Up North Devon (not Scroteland) Working, And it's sounding like a wee Crash Course on everything else I have yet to drive aswell as working the Minis and wheeldiggers. Should be good and I'll get some good pics.

Past couple weeks I ain't done a vast amount of work aside from driving the 1.5 tonner Augering (Stones are the big problem, but it can be overcome, not a long way away from my old rig days :P) Clearing access for langerrovers and the likes. Loving it and hoping to get a chance to go climbing soon. Weather is becoming bad here so next week should be busy :D
