your right but mine is an older one and only coverted it to a loader / FLT but (touch wood) not had any hydraulic problems but did have a lot of play in the pivot / swivel joint but nothing that a set of homemade brass bushes and pins didn't cure
If I have to explain you wouldn't understand

Heres me lifton (seen on other forums) bought it quite cheap made new pivot for it then made a loader attachment which could be removed and the orginal skip put back on with just 3 pins we needed a small light FLT to operate on a working floor in a chemical works about 30' up, as you can see will pick up about 600 kgs but as the job progrested we needed more lifting capacity so made a trailer bit like a skip loader will easy pick up 2.5 tonnes so far the 'dumper' as moved about 10 tonnes of copper and the traler at least 40 tonnes of alumium

Wow thats quite a bit of modding there .. did you machine a new king pin in pic 4 ? looks like quite a bit of wear on it

Cool conversion IMO good job its a wonder that Lifton (now Wacker Neuson IIRC) didnt offer those sorts of variable options for that machine right at the start ! Having a small fork lift like that would be really handy although I can see one big problem with it .. which is that because its pivot steer with a rotating centre, if you over load the front end its gonna land you in some pretty unsteady territory .. I once used one on a job and came down a steep hill with a very full load in the skip !! woooaaaa!! change of trousers time

Like i said it's only to carry the burner about which is on top of the job and yes got harderned pin and then made the brass bushes to suit the pin and the hole

I had a car accident 3 yrs ago. Am paralysed from chest down. I have been driving a 13 ton fh130-1 for 2 yrs. all the big work is now done. I need to get a dumper modified. Loader on front with a 3 point tractor linkage on the back. Buying a tractor is not a solution as I would not be able to see what I'm loading. Can anyone help?

Hi Scully , Welcome to the forum .Have you thought about a JCB Robot Skid steer loader ?. With the single arm design ,cab entry is in the side which would be reasonably wheelchair height friendly . It is hand controlled ,so no need to modify foot pedals With a quick hitch on the front the attachments {over here in australia Anyway } are endless . 4 in1 bucket , slasher ,post hole digger chaintrencher ,rippers , concrete mixer , pallet forks . Here is a video to give you a look at the machine .I will see if i can find one on Attachments .

This page should give you an idea on attachments

                          Thks

Looks good. Thanks for the advice. It probably can do what I want:- cut grass, hedges, feed cattle, sweep yard, cultivating, levelling, reseeding, moving loads. I was looking at converting a dumper because it has a wider and longer wheelbase, more stable in a field. Also agricultural attachments are a little cheaper than the specialised attachments.!!! I think!!! Plus dumpers seem to be cheaper!

                            Hi & welcome Scully

Doesnt help with the rear linkage though ?, how cant you modify the seat in the tractor to get you higher ? .. Dumpers would be a nightmare for less able bodied dudes ... they really can throw the driver about something rotten
