No worries v8druid, have sent you a PM as its late so dont want to disturb you with a call.
Muz, I'd happily post photos but I would rather contact those interested directly with photos of specifics of what they want to see. Wouldn't want someone to drive a long distance to view it only to find its not what they're after.
Looking into the feasibility of purchasing a JCB 51R.
Cheers.

Thanks for that, going through the motions of ordering through DigBits.
Fitted rubber track pads to it over the weekend, found that previous owner had welded all the pad nuts on.
So 36 hours, 67 slit discs, 320 slit nuts, 320 chiselled nuts, 80 pads off, 80 new pads on and 320 nuts tightened later - she looks good. Will post a photo later.
trying to find a list of oils and greases to use in the manual but I can't find it anywhere at the moment. Doing my head in!
Would have thought there would be a simple chart that shows all components and what oil or grease to use!

Do you know of anyone who can supply a 4ft grading/ditching bucket?

Sorted, thanks again Muz.
Will be attempting to fit the 80 rubber track pads on Friday. Seems the bloke before me tore all the pads off leaving the fixings in the track shoes, deep joy.

Have purchased 80 of the rubber track shoes so fitting them next week hopefully. Just wanted to ask about buckets.
We are looking for a 4ft length grading/ditching bucket, as I understand it they only really come in 5ft length sizes.
Does anyone have a person of whom I can contact who is able to build buckets to custom sizes?
Thanks for the help.
Anyways .. more to the point .. have you got that hydraulic oil out of your slew pot yet and put in the correct EP 90 that it should be ? .. those seals wont be designed for a thin oil like that, and the heavy contact loads on the gears wont be likeing it either

My first thoughts indeed, seems to be holding oil in there at present though. Put ISO32 in there as we had nothing suitable on site.
Was informed that the machine was nigh on brand new when bought a number of years ago, shame really.

Refilled and swings much smoother, might drain the fluid out and refill it if I can find the drain screw just to be sure as it's been empty for some years, it seems.
The stick ram is back on now, machinists did a fantastic job of it.
The saga continues...should be ep80/90 in there IIRC
