  • Updates again...

Been a while since I posted a decent update... At the end of this week I should know if my contract is continuing or not... eitherway it's been a apsolute blast and I've loved every second (aside from the lack of coming home and knowing I've really grafted... I kinda miss that feeling but my back does not).

I'm kinda nervous about it, Mainly because I've vowed that should it be the end (My only freind thee end) I will have a crack at going it alone (1. there are very few jobs here and 2. I have reached a point where I wish to have my own gear and treat it properly) who knows.... We shall see.

Eitherway Prepared for both eventualltys. have a couple plans and worst case scenarios... I'm applying for the british antartic survey again so who knows

Likewise I've bumped into a few new contacts over the past weeks... one whom is passing my details with the 450A to a freind who does some forestry work and may be intrested in me making tracks... Another who can put me onto there nephew who works for Cat in Auz (and with welding quals I could probably go do a course there in the mines) and a couple others :D

Done some crushing and some IT work at home, designing logos etc.HPIM3090.jpgHPIM3088.jpg1.jpg

Now just need a Backhoe or a newer 3 tonner.....

Do they have sideshift? I like side shift... Lol...

Na, we shall see. I can't really sod off for a year as I have a dog to look after (might have to go somewhere for a month) the exception to this would be if I got on BAS in which case I'd pay the family a Grand or so to look after lil Lexi.

      We'll see..

Sorry Rory I've only seen sideshift on a loader/backhoe once in my life and that was on a John Deere machine owned by the city of Edmonton.

It is when it's in the gun, as opposed to plastered on the gun, toolbox, other cartridges etc....

I'm abit OCD like that. anything that moves must be oiled or greased but tools etc MUST BE CLEAN... most annoying thing (aside from having a squeaky pin) is to grab the grease gun and grease your hand at the same time....

Deffo with you on that mate

Its crap when you gotta repair your gun when its just exploded in the tool box or worse as I had today, I worked away for an hour or so and stopped for a cup of tea only to discover a big splodge of grease across my upper chest, and I thought how in the name of hell did that get there ?????
Hydraulic oil -- its in my veins - - - well I assume thats what the pain is

Grease on the sleeve is the worst... gets everywhere. Very Very Irritating.

When I have my own machine. I shall have the cab bloody immaculate....

All grease guns were built designed to leak. We have the added problem out here of the grease melting like icecream and running out the end .
