  • Ready for winter?

    Are you ready for winter?

    I am!!!

The blacksmith has converted it in such away that it can go left or right! I am real pleased with it and now looking forward to getting it used! The front linkage has a float on it so it should ride over the bumps and still clear the snow well!

    A daft question

Once again Jim, excuse my ignorance but, does the chevron direction on the tyres make much difference to traction?

    Nice beastie by the way..

Nice blade Jim, do you only use it on single track roads, or am I mistaken in thinking you will push snow or anything else into the middle of the road?

Switching the tires around will make a difference I use to know people that did that on they're skid-steer loaders for the extra traction but I think it makes for a rougher ride and they don't wear properly.

The blade can be turned to push the snow either direction.

So Jim has his set up what would be called the 'usual' way then?

I'm asking as we have similar treads on a Westwood Mower [..am too embarrassed to say how 'big' it is..]

Treads face that way for maximum forward traction .

It's 10 ft wide jack. If I remember correctly the Westwood one is 4 ft wide. I need 10ft as the tractor it's self is 8 ft wide.

Looks good Jim ... When I was a lad the only tractor with a scraper was a 135 in the cubicle house

Jim believe it or not but you've got more snow than here. In northern Manitoba they've got like three or four feet of snow but barely anything here I haven't even been able to use my snowplow hardly at all on my quad.
