Ok....I give up......I've read it loads of times on P&C......looked on the intraweb....but finally, I have to ask..

What is a Duck? Is it slang for that type of machine?

Vin , What year is the Leyland Truck?
After the Daf take over I guess .
I am fairly sure we did not get that model cab out here .
I had a 1980 Leyland Mastiff ,that we started the business off with .

                              Hi Ian

it is an 87 leyland constructor it proceeded the scamwell It had scamwell axles . It had a cummins 250 bhp engine which was opened up too 295 but the extra power was hard on the old scamwell hub reductions and used to pop the half shafts in soft ground , I used to keep a pair in the cab and changed one once in a tip surrounded in gutters they changed the axles to rock wells and offered much better powered rolls Royce engines they were an awesome truck in this configuration. Then Daf tok over .
