  • Low loader work!

    Had a wee job to tonight with a low loader moving my mates county from one job to the other!

    Nice County .. you can keep the rest .. even if it does have two beacons ... hey fella was up North West last week, and got as nice tan .. left to come home on Sunday 7th April and it was snow all the way to Inverness .... man you guys must love that stuff !! (I know your further east)

      Yup love the snow!!
      The job I am on the now was supposed to be finish weeks ago but as we keep getting snow one and off its taken for ever to get done!!

        Not familiar with that kind of tractor but it looks much like a log skidder especially with the heavy canopy, the blade, and the four big tires.

          County was a specialist converter of quite a lot of different things during the war, but eventually specialised on ford skid units, which is what they became best known for, especially power and four wheel drive modifications. They made some tractors too like the Forward control units but still used ford engines & parts

          You could pretty much arge that the Tapp brothers who owned and built the company were responsible for much of the pioneering work that has resulted in the 4WD systems of today due to their designs and development
