yes, I'm a bit lacking on 'original' pics.....when I'm at home I have to get as many as poss to tide me over for while I'm away.....the folks at home do take some pics and send by e-mail but they aren't mechanically minded like that

                  Muz, there's a '73 County 1004 & a '78 1174 - that's the only two I have

The 1004 came off a beef farm local to us back in '97 when they sold up, it had about 4,800hrs on it and I'm pretty sure its genuine - at least it hadn't been in the woods

The 1174 had spent it's early years in Norfolk, then in Craven Arms area, I picked it up in 2004 and brother has used it on our farm up till last summer when he got a newish Case Maxxum.....which is a lot easier to drive

Talked with a guy who used countys ,and countrys only in his contracting business . He reckoned the countys would work where crawler tractors where struggling .

Yep I have to agree with that very much , tractor porn .. .. I dont know how many times Ive read my county books over, theres something special about the blue creations of the Tapp brothers'

And she looks a fine example too ... thanks for posting Richard

You only have to look at the money 1884's are making to see how much some of those beutiful machines are appreciated

i also like countys but the turning circle is crap when compared to muir hills.also the stress going through the drive shafts to the front hubs must be horrendous when turning(the splined bits).richard youre brave putting a dp8 behind that tractor.im suprised you havent pulled the front of it,more suited to a dp 7
