Since most major brands moved to China there has been a drop in quality, have a lot of Teng stuff now as a local lad supplies it and it is easy to exchange if an issue arises, Have had Snap on, Mogy, Kamasa, Gedore, Britool, Facom, Scikes Picivant but found it disappeared when ever I got help.
Was told that Halford sockets and spanners are made by Snap-on.
About 20 years ago I bought a set of genuine German made sockets with a high grip socket design 3/8 drive and been bloody marvelous, Brouder Mannesmann they are and apart from some the allen and torx breaking while being dogged, bought a 1/4 drive set afterwards........................
Now I look for the best value and keep everything under lock and key. .................................................. .

All the brushes on the left, right and rear have copper braid molded into them while foreground are solid blanks.
The shinny parts dead center are mechanical pump seals.
Oh ... having trouble attaching a jpg

I guess the Hilti product developers have seen enough abuse to design for use and not only for brochures.

It's the fact that they (Hilti) make the choice to withdraw support for equipment, that is well enough made, to far outlast their support program
